The construction philosophy is that of Rotel's Balanced Design Concept: every aspect of the design is evaluated holistically, from component selection to circuit topology, with the goal of maximizing overall audio performance rather than optimizing individual parameters in isolation. The most distinctive feature of the internal layout is the essentially monoblock structure: the rectification and power supply decoupling sections are independent for the left and right channels, eliminating interference between the two channels and ensuring maximum stereo separation even in the most dynamic passages. British slit-foil power supplies and capacitors At the heart of the RB-1552 MkII is an oversized, low-magnetic toroidal transformer, complemented by British-made slit-foil backup capacitors. These capacitors, thanks to their thin-film geometry, provide exceptional energy reserves for the most dynamic passages and recharge much more quickly than conventional electrolytic capacitors.
